Saving bank holiday in standard calender

HI,

I am using MS project 2010 - how do i save 2012's bank holidays on the standard calender so that it is used on all new projects?

Thank you
Sally

RE: saving bank holiday in standard calender

Hi Sally

Thank you for your question. You can do this by going to the Project tab, then choosing Change Working Time. This dialogue box opens with the standard calendar already selected for editing. Use the Exceptions table at the bottom of the dialogue box to enter the holidays on their respective 2012 dates.

In order for these dates to be used by all future project plans save your project as a template (File > Save as then set the file format to Project Template)

When you make a new plan start with this template and you will find your holidays are already set up in your new project.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Ms project tip:

Inserting Task Durations Quickly

When entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day.
