Hi Kirsty, thanks for your query. Remember we used www.keepvid.com to do this during the course. Copy and paste the clip url into the text field on keepvid and press download. If you have Java installed it will produce a lists of formats for you to choose in which to download the clip. That's all there is to it!

I did this yesterday but was prompted to pay for the software in keepvid before I could view the downloaded video. I seem to have java installed as I was given a list of formats to select and I took the one that stated .flv but I was not sure how to put this into the presentation. Thanks

Hi Kirsty. You shouldn't have to pay for anything, so don't view the file on the Keepvid website. Once you've downloaded the flv file, just use Insert - Movie in Powerpoint to import it. If it doesn't play, make sure you have the right codec installed, the best bet with that is downloaded the K-lite codec pack.
If you need another option, download the free Orbit downloader. That allows you to leech streaming media off a website and works well with YouTube.
