Access 2003 - can I add a 'save record' button to a form?

I know the small buttons in the toolbar allow you to save records in a form, but my staff would feel happier if there was a nice big button with 'Save' or Save and creaste new record' written on it. I can create a button but don't know how to make it work.

RE: Access 2003 - can I add a 'save record' button to a form?

Hello Maewyn ,

There is a button action already available in the toolbox to achieve what you require. When designing a form, in design view, the toolbox must have the wizard turned on, this is the top button (hover over it to reveal correct one). When you then choose the Command button and place on form the wizard dialog will appear. View the Record options to find the add new, save, and print preset command buttons.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Mark
