Different headers for different sections

Hi,
I have put in a heading into Header - Section 3 but it has appeared in Header - Section 2 also. How do I remove it from section 2?
Thanks,
Richard

RE: Different headers for different sections

Hello Richard,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Word courses with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding different headers for different sections.

Go to the page containing section 2 and double click in the header area. This will open the header & footer tools tab which has a header button on the left side. Click the drop-down arrow of this button and click Remove Header at the bottom. This action will only remove the header in the section in which you are in.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

RE: Different headers for different sections

Hello Richard,

Before going to section 2, go to section 3 header and click the Link to Previous button so that it becomes inactive, then go to to section 2 and remove the header as previously explained. I presumed that you already knew how to do this step.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
