How to save templates in my templates

How do I save a project template ( a project plan saved as Project Template) in My Templates (File, New, "My Templates")?

RE: How to save templates in my templates

Hello Ajibola,

Thank you for your question regarding saving templates in Project.

First make sure that your file is exactly how you wopuld want a new project to be without always having to modify too many aspects.

Then, click file > save-as > choose the Save As Type drop-down and select Project Template. This will take you to the Template folder where you can name the file and click Save. You will then be presented with a dialogue box asking you to choose the items you do not want saved. Select the appropriate items and click OK.

To use the template file, simply click file > new > My Templates > select your template > Open.

That's all there is to it!

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,
