RE: Printing

Hi Darren

Thanks for your question. Here are some things you might try:

Firstly from the File menu try Page Setup. From the Page tab set the scale of your print-out, perhaps altering it from 100% (try 96%).

You can also ensure Project fits the task list and chart on a print out 1 page wide by one page tall (or any combination of numbers that suits your purpose)

Whilst in the Page Setup box take a look at the View tab. From here you can control whether blank pages are printed and if so how many columns should be included in the print-out. One other useful option is the ability to force Project to fit the timescale to the end of the page.

The print dialogue box (File > Print) can also help. For example you can use the print dialogue box to choose only tasks that fall within a range of dates, rather than print the entire Gantt chart.

Finally you can adjust your Gantt chart itself. For example you might want to close any summary tasks to hide sub tasks that don't need printing. Alternatively filtering is another way to make sure you only print out the information you need (From the Project menu choose Filtered For then either select one of the custom filters or apply autofilters to your tasks.

Hope this helps - let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Ms project tip:

Format individual bars on your GANTT chart

To draw attention to a bar on your Gantt chart simply double click it. From the dialogue box that opens make your selection of text and bar modifications.
