Vlookup

Can you please tell me if vlookup is able to read data from two columns rather than one? I cannot get the desired results I need as what I am trying to do is pull data from four columns (P-S) in one spreadsheet by reading the criteria held in both columns E and G.
How can I use a formula within vlookup to look at E and G data to pull the data from columns P-S that corresponds?

RE: vlookup

Sorry it's too confidential. Not allowed to share it. Colleague in the office here I think has been able to nail it for me.
Thanks
Wendy

Excel tip:

Cycling through Absoulte cell references

If you are working with formulas in excel and need to convert your formula to an absolute formula, instead on manually adding in the $dollar signs you can highlight the specific part of your formula and press the F4 key.

You can cycle through all the absolute options by pressing the button (up to four times)
