Toolbars

How do I stop a toolbar from automatically appearing when you start PowerPoint (or any other application)?

I have a toolbar called pdf maker that keeps appearing, and I have to manually turn it off in the View-tolbars menu - is there any other way to stop it from appearing automatically?

RE: Toolbars

Hi Jazmine,

To reset your toolbars you can go into View>Toolbars and down to Customize. In that dialogue box you will see a tab that says Options click on that. There is a button which says "Reset menu and toolbar usage data".

Alternatively, when you are in that customising dialog box drag your additional toolbar into your screen and release the mouse that should also get rid of it.

See if that works for you, if not come back to me

Regards

Tracy

Powerpoint tip:

Running PowerPoint Show Without Opening PowerPoint

If you double click on a PowerPoint show, PowerPoint opens and shows the first slide in development mode. To prevent this do the following:

Find your PowerPoint file.

Right click on the file's icon with your mouse.

Select 'Show' from the menu that is displayed. PowerPoint opens and runs your slide Show. When the show finishes, PowerPoint closes.

Your audience never sees the PowerPoint working window at all.

To make it easier place a shortcut to the file on your desktop for quick access.

forum postHow much different is the advanced course to the intermediate? I need to use excel on a day to day basis and am looking for new ways to achieve company goals.
