MS Project

How do you get the black lines round the tasks on the Gant chart in 2013 (so it looks like 2010 version)?

RE: MS Project

Hello Rebecca,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project Introduction course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding getting black lines round the tasks on the Gantt chart.

I'm not sure what lines you are referring to.

Individual bars do not have lines around them...

...perhaps you mean lines between the current bars. If you do then you are referring to gridlines. To edit the gridlines right-click the Gantt Chart and click Gridlines. Select Gantt Rows and select the Line Type and finally choose the colour. When you are done click OK.

If this is not what you are looking for then reply to this post and be more specific.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

MS Project tip:

Formatting Bar Text

To display notes or resource initials on the Gantt chart bars, choose Format, Bar Styles and the Text tab. Select the position you want to show the text i.e. Top or Inside etc, then choose the field name you are looking for from the drop down arrow. Type the first letter of the name to get quickly to the top of the letter range. Click OK.
