Access Introduction course

I created a database with few tables. When I open access I get this message:

Security warning: Unsafe expressions are not blocked. Do you want to block unsafe expressions?

If I say no I enter the databes, if I say yes it kicks me out.
What should I do?

RE: Access

Antonella

This is a message regarding the Macro security level that has been set in Access. It will ask you this for all databases. If you BLOCK this then Access will not allow you into the database. Alternatively if you ALLOW, then in you go.

If you know who created the database, and you trust the creator, then it is fine to go in. If the database comes from an unknown source, and you do not trust it, then do not open it.

Regards

Richard

Access tip:

Create calculated fields that work out your age

You can uset eh year function to work out the year from NOW function and then subtract it with your date of birth type field

Age=Year(Now( ))-Year([DoB])
