Hi Martin,

Thanks for the question

The vlook up function will based on the lookup value supplied, start searching from the first column in the lookup array for the row that the lookup value appears in the table array. It will then use the lookup column argue supplied to return the value of the cell in the column specified.

Excel tip:

Using an equal (=) sign that isn't part of a formula

Before you type the equal sign, type an apostrophe: '
Then type your equal sign: = (and anything else you want to add after your equal sign)
Press ENTER.

(the apostraphe will disappear
