Please could you tell me how to import an excel chart into a Power Point slide without losing all the formatting and sizing?

Putting excel spreadsheet object into powerpoint slideshow

Hi Frances,

Copy the cells in Excel (drag and press Control+C).

Now go to Powerpoint and choose Edit -> Paste Special -> Mirosoft Excel Worksheet Object -> Okay.

This should paste in the object with all formatting and widths intact.

Now you can adjust the size of the object to control how much of the speadsheet you can view.

You can also double click the object to edit in Excel style. When you leave the object, Powerpoint will remember the view, so you may need to adjust your Excel scrollbars to ensure you show powerpoint only the cells you want.

Powerpoint tip:

Quick Zooming in Powerpoint with rollerball mouses

Zooming in powerpoint works slightly differently than with word and excel. When you hold down the control key and roll the wheel up and down in will go through the zoom sizes up until 66% which you can choose from the zoom box, but after that it starts jumping up at 25%, 50% and then 100%.

TIP - if your cursor is not on the slide and in the slide/outline pane then when you zoom using CTRL it will zoom that pane instead.
