RE: How do i create a macro?

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for using the forum,

To create a macro, simpy go in to the Tools menu and choose Macro > Record a new Macro. At this point you can give the Macro a meaningful name and then press OK. From that point onward the computer records what you do with your cursor so if you change the cell to bold, or font colour etc then press stop recording.

To then run the macro you use the same menu Tool>Macro>Macros and click the Macro you just created.

Macros are designed to automate long winded tasks and cut down the amount of keystrokes required.

Have a go ! Good luck

Tracy

Excel tip:

Select Single Data Marker

To select a single data marker in a chart, ie line, bar or column;
After you have pressed Ctrl+Click (to select the entire chart) you can press the Up or Down arrows to select a data series, then press the Left or Right arrow to select a data point within that series.
