Legends

Hi

I know you can turn the legend on or off and have alsorts of interesting combinations/permutations of the display but can you actually change what it shows? Some of the things are irrelevant and I'd like to be able to customise it.

Also I want to colour code the tasks to show which member of the team is supposed to undertake it and would like to show this on a key to keep the chart itself as uncluttered as possible and make it really easy to read at a glance.

I've had a hunt around in the help section but I can't seem to find very much information about the legends.

Thanks,

Phil

RE: Legends

You must create new task bars in order to colour code the legend

RE: Legends

Hmm, thanks but that's a little mysterious. How?! I can't seem to edit the legend, I can only turn it on and off. Have colour coded the bars but want to label them in the legend so that the chart isn't covered in unnecessary text.

Essentially my question is: where do I go to edit the legend?

Sorry, just being a bit dense on this one!

Phil

Ms project tip:

Inserting Task Durations Quickly

When entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day.
