Paul has attended:
Excel VBA Intro Intermediate course
Excel VBA Advanced course

VBA - progress bar

How do you get a graphical progress bar? E.g. the blue bar you get when you download from the internet
Thanks

RE: VBA - progress bar

When you're creating a User Form (in Excel VBA), you have the Controls Toolbox visible. Right-click on the background of the Toolbox and pick Additional Controls... The check the Microsoft Progress Bar control and OK. You then add this to a form, and set properties, as usual. There are tutorials out there in webland that provide more information.

Vba tip:

Stop Screen Flickering When Running Code

Running VBA code may cause the screen to flicker as the monitor is the slowest part of the program and cannot keep up with the very fast changes taking place.

To switch off the screen until the program is run enter the following code line:

Application.ScreenUpdating = False

The screen comes on automatically on completion of the program.
