Presentation of PowerPoint to others

How do you present the "slide" only on the screen but have the Slide and the Notes section on your monitor.

I have followed the instructiond in Help but when I get to the crucial section to "turn on" the dual presentation my screen greys out

RE: Presentation of PowerPoint to others

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the question,

If the computer system you are using for your slide show is set up with dual monitors, you can run your presentation using whats known as Presenter view on one monitor.

Presenter view will give you a variety of tools with which to present the slide show, as well as a view of all your notes, whilst the 2nd monitor displays the full-screen slide presentation for the audience. To be able to use Presenter view, your computer system must be able to have the Windows Desktop extended across both monitors. For a desktop computer, this usually means having two graphics adapters. If you're using a portable computer, it must have multiple-monitor capability.

I hope this helps

Tracy

Powerpoint tip:

Open Presentation as a Show

To run any Presentation (.ppt) as a Show (.pps) When you select the Presentation in its folder, right click the icon and (****.pps) and then choose Show.
Shows (.pps) run in Slide Show view only, when the show ends or you press Esc, PowerPoint closes. Much more professional than going into a folder hunting for your presentation, opening PowerPoint and then switching to Slide Show View.
