Hi Kirsty

Thanks for your question.

If you select all the object you wish to animate, then go to Custom Animation to apply the animation.

You can select more than one object at once by clicking on one object, holding down Shift, and keep holding Shift down while you click on the other objects.

Then go to Custom animation (Slide Show - Custom animation or select Custom Animation from task pane) then add the effect/s you wish to apply.

Another way to reduce PowerPoint file sizes

A very quick and easy way to reduce the size of a PowerPoint file (particularly if it contains many images and/or objects) make the first slide in the presentation a blank slide (using slide layouts).

Why does this work? Because when you go to open the file through PowerPoint (File - Open or by using the Open button), the preview image that PowerPoint sees of that file is of a blank slide so the overall file size is reduced.
