Linking Workbooks

Please can you remind me how to link certain cells in certain workbooks in order to get the result in a third workbook?

Thanks

1. Make the cell you want the result to appear in active.
2. Enter "=" to start the formula
3. Click the worksheet you want, then select the cell you require.
4. Commit the formula by hitting ENTER.

Excel tip:

Editing Formulas in Excel Cells

Although people like to edit a formula in the Formula bar, you can also edit a formula in the cell.

To do this select the cell and press "F2". This puts Excel into Edit mode, and you can move around in the cell and make any necessary changes.

Double-clicking the cell also puts Excel in Edit mode.
