User modification log
I have a database with many users making many changes per day.
I would like to retain a log of users modifications. It would defeat the object if this was overwritten each time a record change was made.
How can I retain a log of amendments/additions that would do what I needed?

Would you need to record the user that made the change, or just the change itself?

Both and the time the change was made.
If the field is subsequently changed I need to know the series of changes including user, time and data field/value not just the last change.

Thank you for the clarification. We suspect that this question is outside of the scope of a support forum question. We are able to address your requirement with our consultancy services.
