Database protection

In some protected databases I have seen that some macro or code has been applied to hide all or most of the menu options (the protecton can be removed via an function key and password). Are such tools readily available.

For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability

RE: Database protection

Look under TOOLS > STARTUP

Tick or untick the various options available.

IF you hide the database window, and want it back, press F11 when in the database.

If you lock youself out completely, hold shift when opening the database, and it will override all the macros.

Access tip:

Dsum

You can create percentage values based on individual products / items by using a Dsum function (used with a grouped query)

[Each value column] / Dsum[field:total for the column needed to be calculated],[tablename]
