Forms

I understand how to create a form that enables you to scroll through the data one at a time.

However, how do you create a form that opens as a front page when you open the database picks information from a queries or tables according to selected parameters selected on the from.

RE: Forms

Hi Stacie

First create your form then from the Tools menu choose Startup...
This dialogue box allows you to select your form so it opens when Access is launched.

I hope this helps - let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Access tip:

Splittng a database

Split your database into two (at least).

Keep all of your code, forms, reports, etc. in one 'code' database and all of your tables in another 'data' database which is then linked to the 'code' database.

This makes modifications, updates and back-ups that much easier and allows you to work on a new version of your 'code' database without affecting existing users. It also makes it easier should you wish to convert a single user databases into a multi-user networked version.
