RE: Linking pages

Not quite sure what you mean here Rena.

Do you mean what is the fastest way to link pages?

There are a few options.

First, always select the text or graphic you want to link. Then do one of the following.

On the properties panel (Windows -> Properties) at the Link: box, type in or paste from clipboard the name of the local file or external URL you wish to link to. External URLs must begin with http://

Or click the yellow folder icon on the right of this text box to show your local drive. Here you can browse to a file, double click it and Dreamweaver will insert the appropriate HREF code in the text box.

Or use the 'target' icon. Click and drag the little target icon next to the yellow folder icon on the right of the text box, and release the mouse button as you are hovering over a file in site panel, or anchor element on your page. Dreamweaver will generate the appropriate HREF code in the text box.

That's about as quick as it gets!

Regards, Rich

Dreamweaver tip:

Testing a site

When developing a site, you have to cater to the widest possible audience allowing for users with different browsers and display settings.
Test pages to see how they look with:

- different display resolutions
- browser with graphics turned off
- many different browsers not just IE
- if possible different operating systems.
