Hi Anne. This is not a configurable option in Excel, but there is a trick you can use to achieve it. Essentially, create a jpg file such as a rectangle coloured with your prefered colour. Once you have that within Excel select Format - Sheet - Background and navigate to your saved graphics file. This will install that graphic as a background image but won't print it out. Hope this helps.
