Hello,

I have the following problem:

Query 1 with criteria - editable data
Query 2 - editable data

but when I then add a field from Query 1 to Query 2, the data ceases to be editable. Do you think this is a relationship issue?

Hi Sinéad,

Sometimes when you build quries that have one-to-many relationships, the query becomes uneditable. There are several other factors that influence this.

In the HELp section of Access, you will find this information.

Look for
"When can I update data from a query?"

or if you go to the index of help, type Query Update, and in the returned list of topics, you will see one called
When can I update data from a query?

Hope that helps.

Regards

Richard
