Excel exported data

Hi,

Another question please.

When we have exported data and there are pages and pages of data as we have to export from our backoffice say back to 2004.

We have alot of data and we cannot export at present from our back office specific dates so there are pages and pages.

We only require for example 2007 although we have back from 2004.

If we sort etc and ascend so that 2007 is at the top of the spread sheet - how can delete all the other info without having to hightlight pages and pages down there are alot and then pressing delete which takes ages.

Please?

Kind regards
Lisa

RE: Excel exported data

Hi Lisa, Thanks for the post, if we take your last paragraph, where it is I assume you need the help, from the start of the first row that you wish to delete, press CTRL + SHIFT + END, this will highlight everything from that point onwards, then press Delete which will delete all the data you do not require.

Excel tip:

New Normal Worksheet

Do you want all your worksheets to confirm to a certain look? Then change the Defaults!!!
1. Press Shift+F11 to create a new worksheet
2. Press Ctrl+A to select (higlight) all cells, Press Ctrl+1, make any formatting changes then click OK.
3. Press F12 (Function 12 key) click in the Save As Type, drop down, then select Template (*.xlt)
4. Click in the Save in drop-down, then find the folder; c:_program files_microsoft office_office_start. (For the underscores shown use backslash)
Name your templete sheet.xlt, then press Enter.
Sheet.xlt is used when you insert a new worksheet (Shift+F11)

Note: These changes are permanent changes on your PC.
