RE: Office Clipboard

Hi Joan

Thank you for your question.

You do not have to use the Clipboard, it is just one option that you have available to use when moving or copying data.

Normally when data is moved or copied, the data will be cut or copied and then pasted; and this process repeated until all editing has been done. The Clipboard allows you to 'collect' or store cut or copied pieces of information and then paste each item one after the other. It also represents the cut or copied information in a visual way - you will see a snippet/preview of each cut or copied item when it is on the Clipboard.

If you are using the 2002 or 2003 version of Word, you will find the Clipboard in the Task Pane area (appears on the right hand side of the screen).

I hope this helps.

RE: Office Clipboard

It does help. And will come in handy when doing long documents.

Thanks Amanda

Word tip:

Formatting paragraphs with a hanging indent in Word 2010

A hanging indent is where the first line of a paragraph is not indented but all the other lines are. It is less frequently used but because of this, it could mean that your Word document stands out more. If you want it to have this different effect, then here's what you do,

Select the paragraph, go to the Home tab and double click the arrow icon in the lower right hand corner of the Paragraph pane. On the Indents and Spacing tab, use the ''Special'' drop down menu to select the ''Hanging'' option and then indicate the indentation level.
