Hi Timothy

It really does depend on what type of animation you are referring to, you can do image swaps using html and javascript or to do real animations you will need to use Flash and then embed the flash within your web-page. Flash is however a completely separate program to Dreamweaver and you will need to purchase it separately. You can also create entire websites using Flash.
