Hi Sarah, Thanks for the question. A function in excel is a built in calculation. For example the sum function automatically will add whatever you select as long as you highlight numerical values. There are many calculations have a look under the Insert menu and down to function, this is searchable as well. I hope that helps

Creating Quick Column Charts

Select the information you want to appear in the chart and press F11. This creates a new chart on a seperate worksheet.
