Compressing images

Good morning,

I hope you are well.

Please can you tell me how to compress images / photographs so they are smaller to insert in my presentation?
I would like to use a photo as the main backdrop to my master slide and the photo size is too large.

Thanks,

Maria

RE: compressing images

Good morning Maria,

Thanks for the question. There are a few things you can do.

Compressing images can be done on individual pictures by using the Picture toolbar and along to the button which has four arrows pointing into the centre of a small icon that looks like a postcard. If you hover over it it should say "Compress picture".

Alternatively when you are going to Save the Presentation and you click File Save As, and you are in the Save As Dialog box you can use the Tools menu and go down to the bottom option Compress Pictures. Here you can compress all the pictures at once.

Have a go and see what happens

Tracy
