Thanks for your question.
To create a milestone:
1. On the View menu, click Gantt Chart.
2. Type 0 in the Duration field of the task you want to change.
3. Press ENTER.
When you enter a duration of zero for a task, Project displays the milestone symbol (a diamond shape) on the Gantt Chart on that day.
