Table of Contents

I want to show my main section titles on the ToC without a dotted line to the number.

I can take the line out of the sub sections, but this does not seem to work with the titles.

Would I have to insert the ToC manually?

Thanks.

Claire

RE: Table of Contents

Claire,

You should be able to turn off the dotted lines for the TOC 1 style (main section titles).

Insert a new page at the front of your document.
Insert -> Reference -> Index and Tables... -> Table of Contents tab. Change 'tab leader' drop-down box to be (none).

You may have a General Format set (eg. 'Fancy' format insists there is a line for the main section titles) so check this is set to 'From template'.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Rich

Word tip:

Moving shapes where you want

when you move shapes using your cursor arrows they jump around, so by holding down the CTRL key and using the arrows the shape moves where you want it to.
