Thanks for your question.

The point of using macros in any program (including Word) is to speed up the performance of repetitive tasks that involve taking a series of steps to complete.

To record a macro, go to Tools - Macro - Record New Macro. Once you have set up the initial information for the macro, you can then go through the steps you need to take to perform the task; then stop recording the macro.

To run the macro, go to Tools - Macro - Macros and choose Run.

Word tip:

Inserting Today's Date

If a user wishes to insert today's date - which it takes from the computers date settings -, then use keystroke ALT+SHIFT+D
