i am using a php mysql website of my own is it easy to intergrate outlook in as my prefered email provider

Not as far as I know. Assuming you are using a mailto:// URI to create the mails, it will automatically use the client's default mail program as defined under Tools, Internet Options, Programs (assuming IE6 or earlier - IE 7 is in a slightly different location and I don't use any other browsers).
