RE: Animated buttons

Cathy,

There are a number of ways to create an animated button. David suggests using an application that can create animated GIF images, such as Paint Shop Pro.

Other ways are:
- using CSS for basic animation (eg. hover)
- using Javascript to swap the image on a mouse action (eg. hover or click)
- using Adobe Flash application to add shockwave buttons to your page (Dreamweaver MX and above has a built in flash button generator)

Regards, Rich

Dreamweaver tip:

Testing a site

When developing a site, you have to cater to the widest possible audience allowing for users with different browsers and display settings.
Test pages to see how they look with:

- different display resolutions
- browser with graphics turned off
- many different browsers not just IE
- if possible different operating systems.
