Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that I had some groups on, so I could quickly present different bits of data. Now the groups have gone, and the sheet won't allow me to add new ones. Very strange. Any ideas?

Outline is a topic that is not very straightforward.

By the sounds of it it looks like that the option in the Tools> options... in the view tab Outlines Symbols tab is unchecked!

If you check it then the problem should be resolved!! This might have happened when you might have tried to use some sort of shortcut key or used the keyboard shortcut by mistake!!

I managed to find the shortcut key to the menu command that I suggested in my previous message.

Try CTRL+8.

It is a possibility that you might have used this shortcut key by mistake which might have switched off the grouping and outline options!!
