Hi
I am benefiting a lot by using NEW Exciting features of Excel 2007 but I want to share my files with people who don't have 2007 yet.
Will they be able to view the data teh same way as I am viewing it?
What features will be lost if other previous version users were to open my file created in 2007?

Hi Thanks for posting your question!
Excel 2007 is fairly new and there are some confusions which are unclear to some of the users.
You can save create a file in 2007 but you do have the option of saving it in 2003 or earlier formats.
All you have to do is to choose Excel 97-2003 from the save as type in the save as dialog box.
If you have used any feutres that not not available in earlier version compatibilty checker dialog box will appear notifying you which features will be lost categorising it by significant loss and minor loss.
If you want to keep a copy for yourself to be used in 2007 then it is recommended that you save the file as a 2007 first in teh appropriate location and then save the same file as an Excel 97-2003 format.
tip: If you happen to save the file in Excel 97-2003 format most of the time tyhen it is advised that you:
- Click on the Office Button on the Top left corner and choose Excel Options.
- Click on the Save on the left hand bar in the dialog box
- You can then choose Excel 97- 2003 from the save files in this format in the save workbooks section!!
