Separating numbers and text
When importing data from a non-Excel source you can sometimes end up with numbers and text in the same cell. How do you separate numbers and text into different cells so calculations can be performed on the data?

Could you clarify whether the data in the non excel source has the numbers separated, or whether the data is combined during the import process.
If the data is seperated, how is it separated? Does it use commas as in a list or is it in some form of table?

It is imported via a CSV format from a table in the web page. However, the table doesn't seem to have comma separation.
