Hi Fiona, thank you for your post, I hope you are enjoying your course today, in answer to your question, the difference between a slide master and a slide template is:
1. a slide template is a presentation that has been saved in order to use at another time, the presentation would normally be only boilerplate text which would allow the style to be saved, with an option for changes to the input information.
2. a slide master is where the formatting and design of a slide presentation is changed to reflect throughout the presentation, it need not necessarily be saved as a template if it is only going to be used once. Slide master is found at View, Master, Slide Master, whereas a template is created by using the File, Save As command and choosing the option to save the presentation as a Design Template.
