Manually Formatting Forms

I would like to customise my Forms in Access to visually match my paper versions, can you give me some formatting tips?

RE: Manually Formatting Forms

Answer to the question:
Formatting Forms is carried out in Design vew, if you have created your Form using the Form Wizard you may have added background formatting to it already, however if your form is blank and only has fields on it you can move these fields (known as Controls and Labels) to wherever you want. If you hover your mouse over a control or its label, you will see a small hand appear, this is the move tool and with the left mouse button you can move the control and its label as one, however in the top right of each control and label is a small square, hovering your mouse pointer over one of these, you will see a pointed finger, with the pointed finger tool you can move either the control or the label independently of each other to any location you desire. Moving the controls and their labels to match your paper version should now be quite quickly and safely accomplished.
Advanced operations on Forms and Reports is covered in the Access Advanced Course.

Access tip:

Design View in Relationship window

Your in the Relationship window and changes are required to be made to a Table's design.

Rather than exiting the Relationship window, if you perform a right-mouse click on the table, it opens that table up in Design view
