RE: What are Macros?

Hi Leon, Thank you for your first post, I hope you enjoyed the Excel course.
In answer to your question, Macro stands for MACROINSTRUCTION, this is a computer science term for a set of instructions that is represented in an abbreviated format.
Macros are used in Microsoft Office to run pre-recorded or written (see VBA - Visual Basic for Applications) commands which carry out repetitive tasks.
Macros can be stored for use in the current workbook, a new workbook or in the Personal Macro Workbook which makes them available to all open Workbooks on that computer.
For more about Macros our Excel Advanced course is the one to choose. Hope that helps, best regards - Pete

Excel tip:

Rotating Text in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

Maybe you want to draw attention to certain text or you just simply want to make your worksheet look more exciting!

One of the things you might consider is, rotating the text in a particular cell or set of cells.

1) Select a cell you would like to rotate
2) Click the ''Home'' tab in the Ribbon
3) Click ''orientation'' in the ''Alignment'' section
4) A pop up menu will appear with a few choices, if you want to decide yourself how many degrees to rotate the text, then click ''Format Cell Alignment.''
