Formatting Text

Is there a quick way of copying all formatting from one piece of text to another?

RE: Formatting Text

Yes there is a quick way.

1) Highlight text that has the formatting attributes that you wish to copy to another piece of text.

2) Click on the Format Painter icon on the Formatting toolbar.

3) Select the text that you wish to apply the formatting to and the formatting attributes will be applied.

If you want to apply the formatting attributes to several pieces of text:

1) Double click on the Format Painter icon on the Formatting toolbar.

2) Select the text that you wish to apply the formatting to and the formatting attributes will be applied.

3) Repeat point 2) above as many times as required.

4) To turn off Format Painter, either press ESC or click the Format Painter icon once on toolbar.

Word tip:

Adding date quickly

Press ALT + SHIFT + D and this gives you todays date which defaults as updating automatically.
