RE: Microsoft Powerpoint

Hi Nicola

Thank you for your question. Sorry about the delay in replying, I've been off work sick Friday and Monday.

You can create flowcharts in PowerPoint using the Flowchart shapes and Connectors which you will find by clicking the AutoShapes button on the Drawing toolbar.

You will find if you go to the Flowchart category, you can hold your mouse on top of each shape to get a description of what that shape represents in a flowchart (e.g. diamond = decision shape).

Once you select a flowchart shape you draw it onto your slide as you would when drawing any other shape selected from the Drawing toolbar (by holding down the left mouse and dragging).

Once you have put flowchart shapes onto the slide, you can connect shapes to each other to show the direction of flow using connectors from the Connectors category. You will find that the white circle handles that come up on the sides of the shapes change into small blue squares which you can draw the connectors between to join the shapes.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Powerpoint tip:

Doodling on your active slides

To add a little graphic interest during a presentation, switch on the Pen with Ctrl+P. Now your mouse can be used to draw on the slide. Ctrl+E switches on the Eraser to rub things out, and Ctrl+A brings back the Arrow.

At the end of the presentation you have the option to save or discard any un-erased doodlings.
