RE: Macros - powerpoint

Hi Alex

Thank you for your question, and apologies for the delay in repsonse.

To create a macro, go to Tools - Macro - Record new macro.

Then give your macro a name. The name cannot include spaces.

Once you click OK, you can then start carrying out the steps that will be part of your macro.

Once you have finished carrying out the steps, click the Stop recording button (blue square) on the small toolbar that will have appeared on your screen.

If the small toolbar is not on your screen then go up to the top of the scren and right-click next to the existing toolbar, select Stop Recording from the toolbar list, then click the Stop recording button (blue square).

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Powerpoint tip:

Use Paint Brush to do Multiple Formating in Powerpoint

To copy a format from one piece of text or from a Text box in Powerpoint to multiple words or Text boxes

1. Select the word/text box with the format that you want to copy

2. Double-click on the paint brush icon on the Toolbar

When you move to the word/text box where you want to paste the format you will notice that a paint brush follows the cursor.

Paste the format to all the words and text boxes you need to format.

When finished go back to the paint brush on the Toolbar and single click on it to deactivate the function.
