RE: Excel

Hi Sarah

Thank you for your question; and apologies for the delay in response.

To record a macro, go to Tools - Macros - Record new macro.

Then name your macro. The name you enter cannot contain spaces.

Once you click OK, the steps/actions you take in Excel will start being recorded. A small toolbar should appear on your screen once you click OK.

If the steps you are taking involve making calculations, and you want to be able to use the same macro in other places using other cells in the spreadsheet, then click the Relative references button.

Once you have finished carrying out the series of steps you want the macro to perform for you, then click the Stop Recording button.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Excel tip:

Concatenating Results of Formulas

To concatenate the results of formulas simply add the "&" after the formula or function closing bracket.

function1(....)&function2(.....)
