Hi
When I update the data source (i.e. add additional rows or columns of data) that links to a piviot table the pivot table does not update to collect the additional data from the data source. I have opened the pivot table wizard and selected the new data range and it still does not pick up the new / additional data (still only links to the old data).
Can you please tell me how to update the data link in a pivot table when additional data is added to the source table.

This situation is a quiet interesting one and I agree that if you created a pivot table from your source data you should be able to easily update the it so that the pivot table is updated!!
The solutions is more simple than you might think! I think the mistake that you might be making is that you are creating the pivot table from scratch for the second time to see the additional row or the column!!
Please follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to your pivot table ( the one with the blue lines). This could be in other sheet or may be on the same sheet in other section.
Step 2: Simply right-click anywhere on the pivot data.
Step 3: Select Pivot Table Wizard. You
