Linking workbooks

How do you update links within a workbook that has been linked to another workbook without manually having to update each cell?
RE: Linking workbooks
Dear Ashpal
Thank you for attending Excel Intermediate course.
Please note that if you have linked the two files then they should automatically update without you having to do anything.
When you link two workbooks together you have the Source file (This is the file where the original data is COMING FROM) and the destination file (The file where the data is GOING TO).
If the Source file is closed and you try to open the Destination file then a message is displayed informing you that the file has external links and you are given the option of updating or not updating the file.
But if both the Source and Destination files are open and you change the data in the Source file then the cells in the Destination file automatically update.
I hope this helps. If you need further clarification or may have a work based scenario then please post your question and I’ll try to clarify it to the best of my knowledge!!
Kindest Regards
