How can I stop permanently the COPY panel from popping up each time the CTRL C & V funtions are used twice in a row. The options settings on the panel seem to get overridden each time they are set for the panel not to pop up?

Hi Iain, Thank you for your post, I hope you had a good break over the holiday season, in answer to your question I am assuming you mean the Paste Options button if this is correct then follow these steps:

Excel displays the Paste Options button on the worksheet to provide you with extra options, such as Keep Source Formatting and Match Destination Formatting, when you paste cells.

On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Edit tab, clear or select the Show Paste Options buttons check box to hide or display the Show Paste Options button on the worksheet.

I hope that helps , regards Pete

Excel tip:

Closing Multiple Workbooks quickly

When you have several workbooks open in Excel and want to just close them all at once:

1) Hold down the SHIFT key before selecting the File menu.

2) Once in File menu release SHIFT key and select Close All option.

3) All your files will close. If files require saving Excel will ask if you want to save the changes.
