There are a number of ways to accomplish this. perhaps the easiest is to select the GANTT chart view and then click on the window menu and select split.
This splits the screen with the Gannt chart in the top and the task details view in the bottom. The two windows are synchronised so if you select a task in the Gannt chart, the bottom pane shows the details for that task
All you need do now is select the task that you wish to resource and then allocate the necessary resources in the left hand column of the bottom pane
