Powerpoint Intermediate Advanced course

Handouts

I was told that there is a way to hide information on slides being printed out for students. I can't work it out.
Do you have any ideas on how to do this as I really don't know?

Thanks,
Kate

RE: Handouts

Hi Kate

Thank you for your question.

Are you referring to information that is on slides in the presentation; or how to hide notes that are written to go with the slides?

RE: Handouts

Hi Amanda,

I mean the information on the slides that you can print for handouts. It's useful to 'hide' words / sentences if you want delegates to think about what the answers may be.

RE: Handouts

Hi Kate

Thanks for clarifying this.

What I would do is have a slide with what you want to show the students; then the next slide with answers on it. Then you can create a custom show which has the slides in it that you want to include in the handout for the students, and print the custom show.

To create a custom show, go to Slide Show/Custom Show.

Click New. Name your custom show.

A list of all the slides in your presentation will be listed on the left. Select the first slide you want to include in the handout, and use the arrow button >> in the middle to copy it to the box on the right. Repeat this until all the slide you want in the handout are shown on the right. Then click OK, and close.

Then go to File/Print and under Print range you should see your custom show name displayed. Select the Custom Show radio button under Print Range and click OK to print.

I hope this helps.
Amanda
