Hi Emma

Thank you for your question.

The resizing of font to fit a placeholder is controlled by the AutoCorrect settings in PowerPoint.

If you go to Tools/Autocorrect options/Autoformat as you type, you can remove the tick from next to Autofit body text to placeholder (and remove the tick for Autofit title text to placeholder as well if you want) then click OK.

This stops the text from changing to a different font size once a placeholder starts filling up with text.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Powerpoint tip:

Creating perfectly symmetrical shapes in PowerPoint

Are you a perfectionist when it comes to drawing shapes in PowerPoint?

If you hold down the Shift key whilst drawing a shape from the Drawing toolbar, you can create perfectly symmetrical circles and squares; and perfectly straight lines.
